| Golden Nugget Ranch, LLC invites home schooled kids of all
ages to experience safe and fun equine educational classes that
relate to school subjects. Here are a few examples of topics we
teach: Math: Stable, Horse, Tack, and Feed Management
Science: Anatomy, Balance & Movement, and Experiments
with Barnyard Products
English written/communication: Horse Body Language,
Daily Journals, Horse Colors and Markings, and Horse Chat.
History: Horse Breeds, Role of the Horse Throughout
History, and Horse Related Occupations.
Physical Activity: Grooming & Hoof Care, Stable
Maintenance, Knowledge of Knots, and Horse Related Lessons
Class Lectures will be held once a week for a 6 week
period of time. Through each new lecture topic, students will
practice skills in responsibility, organization, partnership,
and leadership. They will learn about horses while building
skills in math, science, English, history, and P.E.
$10/per child per lecture
$20/one time supply and registration fee
Horseback Riding Lessons will be offered to be
scheduled at desired riding time. Two hours in length with a
maximum of two riders. Students will learn how to properly
prepare and put the horse away. While riding correct balance and
cues. Students will review lecture with hands on skills tests as
well as, participation in stable chores.
$20/per child per lesson
(this price is only available when enrolled in class lecture)
Classes and lessons will be taught by Emily Bettinger &
Tristan Scherzinger. Both instructors have a degree in Equine
Riding and Training and experience in teaching lectures as well
as lessons about horses to suit children.
